Special Education Teacher - Bethlehem, PA

This position supports specialized educational programs within the area, requiring candidates to reside within a 35-minute commute. You'll have the chance to work in a variety of classroom settings—Autism Support, Emotional Support, or Multiple Disabilities Support—within elementary and specialized school programs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Pennsylvania Special Education certification (required/preferred per assignment)
• Proven classroom experience in special education
• Background in at least one of the following: autism support, multiple disabilities support, emotional support, or behavioral health
• Demonstrated skill implementing IEP goals and adapted curriculum
• Strong communication and collaborative abilities; experience teaming with paraprofessionals, related service staff, and families
• Commitment to evidence-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and responsive classroom management
• Flexibility and dedication to supporting students with complex academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs

What You’ll Do:

• Provide targeted instruction and individualized supports for students with disabilities, following program-specific best practices
• Develop, monitor, and document IEP goals
• Implement behavioral and communication supports, sensory and crisis-prevention strategies as needed
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to promote student development and inclusion
• Maintain a supportive, structured classroom environment focused on growth and student safety

The school-day schedule (approx. 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, per assignment) offers meaningful work/life balance throughout the academic year.
