This full-time, contract position spans the academic year, from August through May, and is ideal for professionals passionate about delivering exceptional care to students. As an onsite school nurse, your expertise will make a direct impact on a student’s well-being and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Active, unrestricted Arizona RN or LPN license in good standing, or a valid multistate privilege from a compact state.
- Current CPR certification.
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow established care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive 1:1 care and health management for an assigned student on campus.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor health status, and address urgent health needs.
- Document daily care, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with school and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with school staff, family members, and healthcare providers to coordinate and advocate for student health services.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for learning and participation.
