Start an exciting contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-12 students near Concord, NH. This full-time role runs from August 2026 through November 2026, providing a 12-week assignment in a dynamic school environment. With a weekly schedule of 32 to 37.5 hours Monday through Friday, you'll make a significant impact on students who need individualized support and guidance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (NH or eligible for reciprocity)
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs
- Collaborative spirit for working closely with families, staff, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver differentiated instruction for students with diverse exceptionalities
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate student progress and adjust plans based on assessment data
- Work collaboratively with general educators, paraprofessionals, and ancillary staff
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student growth and needs
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment focused on student achievement
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations
