Job Description
Make an impact supporting students’ health and wellness for the 2026-2027 school year in a vibrant school community. Two contract openings are available for Certified School Nurses (CSNs) or CSN students in Romeoville, with schedule options at a high school or elementary school campus. These positions require dedicated professionals to manage the school health office, conduct medical reviews, and participate in IEP and 504 meetings—essential duties, all part of the same dynamic role.
Ideal candidates bring Certified School Nurse experience and demonstrate flexibility, dependability, and strong teamwork. Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are a major plus, as is a collaborative mindset that supports both students and colleagues. Consistent attendance and reliability are highly valued to maintain a seamless support system for the school communities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a Professional Educator License (PEL) endorsement for Certified School Nurse (more than an RN license alone)
- Completion or current enrollment in CSN coursework (1-2 years typically required)
- Experience as a Certified School Nurse preferred
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable
- Proven flexibility, dependability, and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Strong commitment to reliability and attendance
- Enthusiasm for participating in IEP and 504 processes
Key Responsibilities:
