Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives by supporting communication and language growth within a local school setting. A dynamic and collaborative Special Education team is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), including Clinical Fellows (CFs), to serve on-site for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract, full-time opportunity spans from August 12, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Opportunities are available across North, Northeast, and South areas of the district with primarily single-site assignments and some itinerant roles possible. Caseload details and specific age groups will be finalized upon assignment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Texas SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to culturally competent and student-focused practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, monitoring and documenting progress
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and district policies
