Embark on an exciting contract role supporting students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming elementary school setting near Elgin, IL. Key Qualifications:

  • Active State license in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech and communication abilities to identify challenges and create effective treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy in individual and group settings, adapting methods to student needs
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate records and document progress according to school and district requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and accommodations
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in school-based speech therapy and participate in professional development

This contract role spans the full school year, from August 11, 2026, through May 24, 2027, based at Winnebago Elementary School. The onsite nature of this position provides meaningful face-to-face connections with students and team members, fostering a rewarding environment for professional growth.
