Step into an engaging role supporting students and staff by providing essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Minneapolis. This full-time contract opportunity runs from September 9th through November 30th as a long-term substitute. You’ll split your time between two elementary schools, bringing your expertise and care to diverse student populations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to cultivating inclusive, supportive learning environments
  • Ability to supervise and provide direction to a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
  • Flexibility and organization to manage service delivery across two sites

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work .4 FTE at an elementary campus with a center-based autism classroom, focusing mainly on supervision and guidance for a COTA to ensure high-quality support for students
  • Deliver .6 FTE of direct OT services at a second elementary campus, overseeing all aspects of student occupational therapy programming
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized and group therapy interventions tailored to diverse student needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEPs, evaluations, and progress reports
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to foster optimal student outcomes
  • Adapt interventions and service delivery models as necessary based on student progress and school needs
