Occupational Therapist School Setting - Vallejo, CA

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of California
• Recent experience working within a school setting preferred
• Confidence in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for school-aged children
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and support staff
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt interventions as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine student needs and present level of function
• Design and implement interventions focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-help, and daily living activities
• Collaborate with teachers and support teams to modify classroom environments and activities when necessary
• Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress, and compliance with state and school guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to support personalized student plans
• Provide consultation and training to school staff and families to maximize therapy carryover
