Occupational Therapist School Setting in Canton, MI

Openings are available for two enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to support students at both the elementary and high school levels on a full-time contract basis in an educational setting near Canton, MI. Desired Qualifications:

• Active OT licensure and credentials.
• Background in school-based occupational therapy; experience in home health or healthcare OT settings is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working with elementary and adolescent populations.
• Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students at two elementary schools and one high school, providing both direct and consultative support.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals, tracking progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure effective integration of therapy into the classroom environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions as required.
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and reports.
• Support students in achieving greater independence and success in both academic and daily living activities.
