Qualifications and Skills:
- Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Current South Carolina Educator Certificate required
- SLP-CCC credential strongly preferred
- Prior experience delivering school-based SLP services (K-12 settings)
- Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite and engage with students and staff in person
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for students across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Document student services, maintain accurate records, and report progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide recommendations for classroom strategies
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student backgrounds and learning needs
