School Psychologist in Rio Rancho, NM

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
• Valid and current School Psychologist certification or ability to obtain licensure in New Mexico
• Previous experience working in educational settings with students from diverse backgrounds
• Skilled in conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing counseling
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Special Education policies and procedures

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret evaluation results
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide input on 504 plans
• Offer crisis intervention services and participate in behavioral intervention planning
• Consult with staff, administrators, and families to address student needs
• Deliver counseling and support to students individually or in groups
• Facilitate workshops or training on social-emotional learning and mental health
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
