Step into an impactful role supporting a kindergarten student who requires dedicated RN care throughout the school year. This contract opportunity in the Denver area offers a full-time Monday–Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week) within a welcoming elementary school environment. The position ensures continuity of care for one child, whose medical needs include ventilator management via tracheostomy, tube feeding via g-tube, and toileting support.

Applicants will begin with an interview with the school principal, followed by a meeting with the child's family to foster collaboration and trust. The chosen RN will ideally attend a paid training session scheduled on 7/31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., ahead of the assignment's official start on 8/10/26. This is an on-site only position in a single school setting.

Desired Background:

  • Active Colorado RN license
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing OR at least three years of practical RN experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience supporting pediatric patients with complex medical needs (ventilators, g-tubes)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with families and school staff
  • Willingness to participate in a thorough interview and orientation process, including a paid family meeting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care during school hours, ensuring the student’s safety, health, and comfort
  • Perform routine interventions: ventilator and tracheostomy care, g-tube feedings, toileting assistance
  • Collaborate with educational staff and the student’s family to align care plans
  • Participate in any transportation arrangements, as needed
  • Maintain accurate health records in accordance with school and nursing standards
