DHH Teacher | Phoenix, Arizona

Empower students by supporting their communication, language, and academic development in a full-time, contract role specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. Work with a diverse student population throughout the school year, either onsite or explore a potential for virtual arrangements. The position begins in August and continues through May, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Standard Professional Certificate required
• Completed Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement
• Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Prior experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing strongly preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum for diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Openness to onsite or potentially virtual instructional formats

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, tailoring methods and curriculum to meet individual needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate inclusive learning environments
• Develop and maintain IEPs, data collection, and related documentation in compliance with guidelines
• Foster student advocacy, communication, and independence skills in and out of the classroom
• Participate in meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities as needed
• Stay current with best practices in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
