Speech Language Pathologist in Vista, CA
Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in a vibrant, collaborative setting. This assignment begins mid-August and runs through early November 2026, covering an extended leave of absence. You'll work side-by-side with another SLP at an elementary site, primarily serving students in Resource Specialist Program (RSP) caseloads, with a smaller portion involving Specialized Academic Instruction (SDC), but excluding moderate/severe needs.
Your strong background in public school SLP services—especially handling a range of student needs, evaluations, and therapy within educational settings—will be highly valued. This position is strictly in-person, as virtual therapy is not approved by the district. You’ll enjoy consistent hours, 37.5 per week, and benefit from a daily, duty-free 30-minute lunch separate from student interaction.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current SLP-CCC credential
- Demonstrated success working in public school environments
- Familiarity with IEP processes and effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary education teams
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students, especially within RSP and SDC settings
- Commitment to providing services fully on-site
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop student-centered treatment plans
- Deliver engaging, individualized therapy sessions onsite
- Collaborate closely with school teams, teachers, and families
- Maintain documentation that meets school, district, and legal standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
- Provide consultative support to educators and staff as needed
Build meaningful connections and make a daily impact while working in a supportive environment that values professional expertise and teamwork. If you’re experienced, passionate about facilitating student growth, and ready to make a difference, your next rewarding chapter awaits—submit your application today!
