School Psychologist - Whittier, NC

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
• Current and valid state credential/license in School Psychology (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with K-12 student populations, across a range of developmental and learning needs
• Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
• Strong skills in consultation, intervention planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Solid understanding of IEP process, special education law, and best practices in interventions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Participate in and facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to eligibility determinations
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify students needing support and develop targeted intervention plans
• Provide direct and indirect services including counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management
• Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of academic and behavioral support strategies
• Serve as a resource and advocate for mental health and positive school climate initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
