You’ll thrive working as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist, serving Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, and Helena Intermediate Schools, providing vital services for a caseload of around 60 students.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid Alabama Professional Educator SLP Certification (verifyable at the state’s certification portal)
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-12
  • Travel between three school sites as part of a consistent weekly schedule
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
