An exciting opportunity awaits for a bilingual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide per-diem, evaluation-only services in a school-based environment near Owego, NY. This contract position focuses on conducting high-quality student assessments throughout the school year, from September 8, 2026, through June 30, 2027. While on-site work is preferred initially, there is potential for future hybrid or virtual roles.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Experience working within pediatric and school environments
- Bilingual proficiency required
- Demonstrated expertise in teletherapy and in-person assessments
- Familiarity with healthcare-oriented SLP responsibilities in educational settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for school-aged children
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Clearly document and report assessment results, providing actionable recommendations
- Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment for bilingual students
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations surrounding school-based therapy
- Adapt to different work environments, with an initial focus on onsite services and flexibility for hybrid or virtual work as needed
