Step into a dynamic, rewarding contract role supporting students as an Autism Support or Emotional Support Interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year. Beginning August 10, you'll help students within specialized education programs in Carbon and Lehigh Counties. These behavioral support roles are crucial in promoting academic progress and emotional growth for students who face significant challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct one-on-one and small group support to students within Autism (ASI) or Emotional Support (ESI) classrooms.
• Carry out Behavior Intervention Plans and evidence-based strategies, including visual supports, reinforcement systems, AAC devices, social stories, and sensory breaks.
• Assist teachers with instructional routines, communication, social skills, personal care, and transitions.
• Collect, monitor, and document behavioral and academic data for IEPs.
• Use trauma-informed practices and de-escalation strategies for students experiencing severe emotional or behavioral dysregulation.
• Maintain a structured, therapeutic classroom environment and implement interventions for behaviors such as aggression, elopement, property destruction, and self-injury.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, BCBAs, counselors, and behavioral health staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, ABA, Human Services, or related field recommended; Associate’s degree accepted with at least one year of relevant experience (three years preferred).
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional or behavioral disabilities, ABA/behavioral health, or in related settings.
• Strong behavior management, de-escalation skills, and composure under pressure.
• Professional, collaborative, and reliable approach to teamwork.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation.

These 32.5–35 hour/week positions follow the school calendar. Initial hours are limited for Opening Day and Summer Academy, with regular hours resuming later in August. All interviews are conducted in person.
