Looking for a meaningful role supporting students? Opportunities are available for individuals interested in working as a paraprofessional in educational settings in the Lenexa, KS area. These contract positions offer a chance to make a difference across a variety of grade levels, from kindergarten through high school, supporting students in life skills, autism support, and behavioral classrooms.
There are currently approximately 10 openings (subject to change), with interviews scheduled to begin on 7/27. During the interview, you'll be able to share your prior experience in special education as well as your preferences regarding caseloads, ensuring a good match between your skills and the needs of the schools. Recommendations and offers will follow the interview process.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within schools
- Background in special education, including work with students with autism, life skills, or behavior challenges
- Ability to adapt and communicate effectively with students and staff
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills
- Passion for helping students achieve their potential in a supportive environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in classroom settings, including those with special needs
- Assist lead teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Support individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and specialists as needed
