Job Description
Make an impact supporting students of all ages by providing key psychological services throughout the school year. This contract opportunity will have you split your time between two vibrant educational settings near Mentor, OH: spend three days a week working with K-12 students in Fairport Harbor, one day with grade 6-12 students at a STEM-focused school in Concord Township, and an additional day working remotely, allowing for essential paperwork completion from home. The assignment spans from late August to the end of May, offering steady, meaningful work in a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students (K-12, 6-12 a plus)
- Familiarity with educational assessments, counseling, and special education processes
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to work at two sites and manage a mixed caseload
- Comfort using teletherapy or virtual platforms for paperwork and communication
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students
- Interpret test results and prepare relevant reports
- Offer short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative support
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Contribute to positive school climate and student well-being
- Maintain timely and accurate records, utilizing one remote day weekly for paperwork
