Travel Special Education Teacher | Morton, Pennsylvania

With a 35-hour workweek and a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., you’ll have ample downtime to immerse yourself in local attractions and hidden gems.

In this itinerant role, you will support approximately 30 preschool-aged students with special education needs at various community preschool locations. Each day brings fresh environments and experiences, fostering professional growth as you collaborate with diverse educators and administrators, observe varying teaching methods, and ultimately elevate your resume with invaluable new skills.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education (emergency permits not accepted)
• Solid understanding of the principles and practices of special education
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience or passion for working with preschool-aged children with special needs
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for working across multiple community locations

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to different community preschools within the area to provide direct instruction and services to students on your caseload
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with preschool staff and families to optimize student support
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with all relevant special education laws and guidelines
• Participate in training and orientation programs to ensure successful integration
