Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience as a paraprofessional or related support position, preferably in special education
  • Comfort working 1:1 and in small groups to tailor support to individual student needs

  • Ability to follow and implement individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Flexibility and reliability as part of a multidisciplinary educational team

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, hands-on support to students utilizing ABA strategies
  • Assist the lead teacher with classroom management and instructional activities
  • Support students’ behavioral, social, and academic growth by following individual plans
  • Collect and record behavior data to assist in ongoing student assessments
  • Help students with daily routines and transitions throughout the school day
  • Foster a positive, respectful classroom climate conducive to learning
  • Collaborate with school staff to adapt strategies and interventions as needed
