Job Description
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented temporary to hire Staff Accountant with a strong accounting foundation and experience gained through public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and looking to further develop their accounting career in a collaborative environment. This position offers a hybrid work schedule in the Bellevue, WA office. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany accounts.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare audit schedules and serve as a point of contact for external auditors.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Two or more years of accounting experience, preferably with public accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience supporting audits and managing account reconciliations.
  • Combination of public accounting and private industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Pay Details: $37.00 to $39.00 per hour
