School Physical Therapist | The Villages, Florida

Make a difference in students’ lives as a Physical Therapist in an engaging school environment near The Villages, FL! This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and is ideal for professionals ready to provide impactful therapy services across multiple school sites. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated therapy team, serving a diverse caseload of K-12 students—including some Pre-K—delivering both direct and indirect services.

Your typical schedule spans Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. As an itinerant team member, you’ll serve approximately 2–3 schools each day (from a network of 35), with a student caseload that is thoughtfully divided to ensure manageable and meaningful connections.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid professional Physical Therapy license issued in Florida (required)
• Strongly preferred: previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
• Comfortable working with diverse learners from Pre-K through 12th grade
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Ability to provide both direct (hands-on) and consultative services
• Collaborative approach to working alongside other therapists and educational professionals
• Commitment to meeting credentialing and onboarding requirements, including timely completion of onboarding documentation

Your Role Includes:

• Conducting assessments and developing individualized therapy plans for students with varied physical needs
• Providing therapy sessions, supporting students’ individual education goals
• Maintaining thorough records and contributing to IEP meetings as required
• Consulting with staff and families to support students’ success in school environments
• Traveling between assigned school sites
