Your skill and passion will help empower learners at Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, and Helena Intermediate, impacting a caseload of approximately 60 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid Professional Educator Alabama SLP Certificate
  • Prior experience working in school settings strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage an itinerant caseload effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Reliable transportation to travel between assigned campuses

Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for students with speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students' educational goals
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records, evaluations, progress reports, and required documentation
  • Help foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment
  • Consult with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
