Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- K-12 Special Education Certificate
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card
- Strong experience supporting students with autism, emotional disabilities, and/or behavioral needs in self-contained settings
- Demonstrated experience working with at-risk youth, English language learners, and a culturally diverse student population
- Familiarity with federal, state, and district special education compliance and documentation
- Completion of Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, or willingness to participate in staff development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured and intensive instruction to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in a self-contained classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation
- Foster prosocial and self-regulatory skills in students with emotional and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success and growth
