Job Overview
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing and evaluating patients to create tailored treatment plans that align with their specific conditions. This role involves tracking patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed, and providing education to patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications- Patient Age Range: All age groups.
- Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree is essential, with a preference for coursework in Occupational Therapy.

Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of Occupational Therapy theories, methodologies, practices, and tools.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- A proactive and positive mindset towards problem-solving.
- Comprehensive knowledge of potential risks, necessary precautions, and corrective measures in patient care.
- Capability to evaluate and implement treatment plans for both simple and complex therapy diagnoses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Licensure/Certifications: A valid Occupational Therapy license in Florida is required, along with BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred Experience: Background in hospital-based rehabilitation services is advantageous, with a preference for skills in splinting and orthotic fabrication.
- Required Experience: Less than one year of clinical experience in relevant areas such as acute care or outpatient settings.
- Preferred Education: A Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is desirable.
