\nDemonstrates basic knowledge of anesthesia delivery systems, scavenger systems, gas analyzers, EKGs, pulse oximeters, and other anesthesia-related equipment. Responds to and investigates all anesthesia machine alarms, reporting malfunctioning equipment and ensuring replacement. Manages the inventory of supplies, ensuring they are stocked and within expiration dates, and secures medications at all times. Properly disposes of used medications and monitors refrigerators utilized for the stock of medications. Provides peri-operative technical support to the anesthesia professional staff for the delivery of patient care. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists with the preparation and maintenance of sterile supplies and medications. Supports the anesthesia team by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning. Assists with cleaning, setting up, and maintaining anesthesia equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions as needed. Maintains and organizes the anesthesia environment, equipment, supplies, and personnel to facilitate department functions. Ensures the availability of necessary equipment in each operating room and participates in room turnovers to ensure efficient flow of cases. Assembles and operates specialized equipment such as humidification units, fiber optic endoscopic equipment, rapid infusion devices, blood warmers, patient warming devices, neuromuscular devices, infusion pumps, and syringes.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\n\n• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]\n
\n• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]\n
\n• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]\n
