Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early childhood learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic preschool environment. This role extends from onboarding before August 31, 2026, through June 6, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours during school hours of 8:44am to 3:50pm. Located near Plainwell, MI, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educators in Early Childhood Special Education Preschool classrooms, working with a caseload of 25-29 children ages 3-5.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current or eligible Michigan Speech-Language Pathology licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings highly valued
  • Knowledge of early childhood communication disorders, intervention strategies, and evidence-based practice
  • Strong collaboration skills with staff, families, and other support professionals
  • Comfort with teletherapy platforms considered a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, intervention, and therapy to preschool-aged students with diverse speech and language needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support speech-language development in and out of the classroom
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Offer support in three early childhood classrooms, tailoring services to student needs
  • Engage and encourage student participation to maximize outcomes in communication
