Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role designed for a speech-language pathologist who thrives in diverse educational settings. This full-time opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning with comprehensive training sessions on August 13th, 14th, and 17th at the McMurray Campus. As students return on August 20th, you’ll support multiple school communities in Washington and Greene Counties. Each week, you’ll split your time across Bethlehem-Center Elementary (half-day), Fort Cherry Elementary (two days), and additional days in Waynesburg, directly impacting student growth and development through your expertise.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license, with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- PA SLP Educator Certificate (required)
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Flexibility to commute between assigned locations (Fredericktown, McDonald, and Waynesburg)
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Comfort providing services to varied caseloads and collaborating with school-based teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to K-12 students, both individually and in small groups
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation as required by school and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training sessions as scheduled
