Two full-time opportunities are available for Certified School Nurses (CSN) or CSN students in Romeoville, IL, supporting either a high school (7:15 a.m. – 2:25 p.m.) or an elementary school (8:25 a.m. – 3:40 p.m.) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment and are committed to both clinical excellence and teamwork.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with PEL endorsement for Certified School Nurse (required; RN license alone does not qualify)
- Active CSN or current CSN student (enrolled in CSN courses)
- Previous experience in school nursing is highly desirable
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a significant asset
- Strong attendance, dependability, and reliability
- Exceptional team player who is flexible, collaborative, and open to supporting colleagues
Position Duties:
- Independently manage the health office to support student well-being
- Complete comprehensive medical reviews and work closely with staff and families
- Actively contribute to IEP and 504 processes for students with diverse needs
- Promote a healthy school environment and respond efficiently to health emergencies
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
- Foster a team culture dedicated to the best outcomes for students and families
