- Louisiana teaching certificate \n
- Additional criteria as the Board may establish \n
- Screens children referred for suspected communication problems. \n
- Complies with Louisiana Bulletins 1706 and 1508 guidelines for procedures relating to identification, evaluation and placement of speech impaired students. \n
- Maintains current records and time lines based on LANSER requirements. \n
- Enforces disciplinary policy campus-wide and in the classroom. \n
- Participates in Back-to-School Night. \n
- Assumes other school-keeping duties as assigned. \n
- Follows planning, management and instruction domains of Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching as much as applicable, adapting as necessary to accommodate the Individual Education Plan (IEP) of each student. \n
- Completes a self-evaluation annually. \n
- Performs other duties as assigned by the proper authority. \n
- Devotes time and energy effectively to the job. \n
- Demonstrates ability to work well with individuals and groups. \n
- Exercises good judgment in arriving at decisions. \n

\nJOB GOAL: To maximize the communication behavior of each child classified as Speech Impaired by delivery of appropriate speech therapy services.
