Job Description
Make a positive impact by supporting the well-being and educational success of high school students as a school psychologist on a contract assignment. This opportunity is based in a dynamic secondary school serving approximately 900 students, where you'll work as part of a committed team dedicated to student growth and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments for referred students (approximately 70 annual testing caseload, previous year)
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and outside providers to develop individualized recommendations
- Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative support for students facing academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement multi-tiered interventions and data-driven strategies to promote student success
- Maintain documentation and case notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Massachusetts
- Proven experience providing psychological services in a school setting, preferably at the high school level
- Strong assessment, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive environments for all learners
