Make an impact as a Pre-K Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year in the greater Nashville area. This onsite contract opportunity spans from late August through late May, providing a stable and rewarding environment to support young learners within a dedicated special education team.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Special Education teaching license with endorsements: 459, 465, 468, 2000, or 2001
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain a Pre-K endorsement (strong candidates may take the required Praxis, with exam costs covered by the school)
- Experience or true interest in working with Pre-K special education students
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and related service providers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and teach a caseload of Pre-K students in a school-based setting
- Develop engaging, personalized lesson plans accommodating a range of abilities and needs
- Track student progress, document interventions, and adjust strategies to maximize growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to create inclusive classroom experiences
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for children with diverse needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents and team members
This position offers:
- A set schedule: 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday (35 hours/week)
