Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - New Bedford, Massachusetts

Key Qualifications:

• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required, with a minimum of 2–3 years of post-certification experience
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric speech-language pathology, with specific experience in school environments
• Comfortable working with a broad range of communication needs and student backgrounds
• Prior experience or willingness to supervise Clinical Fellows and SLPAs, including oversight for up to three SLPAs, each responsible for caseloads of up to 55 students (total program support up to 165 cases)
• Proficient in conducting special education eligibility evaluations, including initial and reevaluation assessments
• Familiarity with teletherapy and contemporary educational technology preferred

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy to students with diverse speech and language needs in an in-person school environment
• Supervise and support SLPAs, including treatment oversight, monitoring data collection, reviewing progress reports, and providing ongoing mentorship
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, attending all IEP meetings (initial, reevaluation, annual)
• Present findings, evaluation data, and thoughtful recommendations for student support during IEPs
• Develop, update, and monitor IEPs for individual students, adapting to changing caseloads and needs as enrollment fluctuates
• Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
