Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and adaptability in diverse educational environments
- Commitment to collaboration with educators, parents, and other support professionals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostics to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to address speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Monitor and document progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer guidance and training to teachers and caregivers on strategies to support student communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate effectively with other educational staff
