Your advanced skills as an SLP with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) will be key in providing assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators to improve student outcomes. You’ll play an active role in developing individualized therapy plans, facilitating progress, and fostering a positive learning environment for each child you serve.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license in Rhode Island
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to supporting diverse student needs
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and re-evaluations to identify communication disorders
- Creating and implementing targeted therapy plans based on student IEPs
- Coordinating care with classroom teachers, special educators, and families
- Tracking and documenting student progress in accordance with school and federal guidelines
- Attending and actively participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Offering support and education to staff and family members as needed
