Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Apex, NC

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Appropriate state licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student populations and age groups

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to determine the presence of speech, language, or communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
• Maintain detailed session notes and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, specialists, and parents to support each child's academic and social success
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Offer consultative support and training to school staff as needed
