Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This rewarding contract opportunity is for full-time roles, supporting a middle school caseload and two elementary school caseloads. You’ll be working onsite within a collaborative educational environment, providing specialized instruction and essential support to students with autism while partnering closely with general education staff and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold active Georgia Special Education licensure/certification (must provide verification)
- Background working in school-based special education settings is preferred
- Confident in implementing and monitoring IEPs and maintaining student documentation
- Demonstrated classroom management and strong collaboration abilities
- Available for onsite work, Monday through Friday, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based, individualized instruction for students on the autism spectrum
- Participate in IEP meetings and support all facets of IEP development and implementation
- Collaborate with general educators and other support staff to provide a team-based approach
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to student progress and services delivered
- Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and milestones
