Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners in a dynamic school environment near Chicago, IL. We’re seeking a dedicated, full-time School Psychologist to focus on early childhood students (ages 3 and 4) for the upcoming academic year. This in-person contract role allows you to make a meaningful impact by identifying student needs early and supporting families and staff in fostering student growth and development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) required
  • Experience or strong interest in early childhood populations (ages 3–4)
  • Background in comprehensive screening and play-based assessments
  • Knowledge of IEP development, particularly initial IEPs for young children
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and play-based assessments as part of the early childhood program
  • Actively participate in the initial IEP process, supporting families, teachers, and students
  • Deliver day-to-day support as needed for students within the program
  • Serve as an advocate for early intervention, supporting classroom staff and parents
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
  • Attend orientation sessions on August 11th and 12th, with the school year beginning August 13th and concluding May 28th
  • Full-time, in-person schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
