Shape the future of young learners as a dedicated school psychologist supporting elementary students in the vibrant surroundings near Chicago, IL, including Skokie and neighboring communities. This full-time contract role for the 2026-2027 school year invites you to work Monday through Friday, 7:45 A.M. to 2:55 P.M., within a nurturing and collaborative educational environment.
Leverage your expertise in guiding special education teams and making a meaningful difference with a K-2 caseload while working with approximately 75 students with IEPs. You'll play a pivotal role in leadership, coordination, and advocacy for students' academic and emotional well-being.
Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist certification, with experience in elementary settings preferred
- Proven ability to facilitate eligibility, IEP, and 504 meetings
- Strong knowledge of MTSS and problem-solving frameworks
- Skilled in organizing and leading special education teams
- Capacity to participate in cognitive and other student evaluations
- Outstanding communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead eligibility meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Participate in evaluation activities, including cognitive assessments
- Coordinate and facilitate 504 and problem solving/MTSS meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee documentation and compliance for a caseload of approximately 75 students
- Support a positive, student-focused school culture, focusing primarily on team leadership
