Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit experience
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and standard documentation procedures
  • Compassionate demeanor and commitment to patient advocacy

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients transitioning from critical care to lower acuity settings
  • Monitor patient status closely and promptly report any changes to the medical team
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring adherence to safety and protocol
  • Educate patients and families regarding ongoing care plans and recovery processes
  • Support care coordination by communicating patient needs and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing interventions and patient responses
  • Uphold infection control and patient safety standards at all times
