Step into an impactful contract assignment serving Pre-K students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC). This 0.8 position spans August 19 through November 11, offering a flexible schedule of 2-4 days per week, with hours from 8:10 AM to 3:20 PM. You’ll work within a supportive team, sharing office space and collaborating to ensure students receive essential communication support. While most sessions will be at Madison, you’ll also work with classrooms in a nearby building. Weekly staff meetings are held on Tuesdays, and your presence will be needed for those.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current SLP-CCC credential required
  • Experience working in school settings with Pre-K populations
  • Skills supporting a range of service delivery models, from speech-only to self-contained
  • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
  • Proficiency in speech-language assessments, with additional support in PBAs from district SLP staff
  • Knowledge of best practices serving diverse communication needs
  • Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy for approximately 35 identified students with varied S/L needs
  • Deliver services in both speech-only and self-contained classroom environments
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and participate in assessment activities
  • Work across two buildings, with a primary base at Madison, to meet Pre-K student needs
  • Contribute to team meetings and IEP planning, ensuring progress and goal attainment
  • Support students who use AAC to access curriculum and communication
