Registered Nurse School Setting - Denver, CO

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized healthcare for a child requiring ventilator care (tracheostomy), tube feeds (g-tube), and toileting assistance throughout the school day
• Collaborate closely with school staff, administrators, and the student’s family to ensure comprehensive care and open communication
• Participate in initial training (if possible) and attend meetings with the student’s family prior to assignment for strong relationship-building
• Maintain meticulous medical records and adhere to all care protocols as outlined by the school and medical guidelines
• Support potential transportation needs if bus-riding is integrated into the assignment
• Manage and adapt to day-to-day student health concerns within your professional scope

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Registered Nurse license required
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution, or three years of practical RN experience
• Proven experience in tracheostomy and g-tube care, preferably working with pediatric populations
• Strong communication skills and confidence in working as a liaison between families, students, and staff
