Are you an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification? This contract opportunity is available for passionate travel professionals interested in supporting students across multiple campuses near Winter Garden, FL. The position begins August 3, 2026, and extends through May 28, 2027. You’ll make a difference by providing both direct and consultative services for K-12 students, serving an itinerant caseload of 15-20 learners across 13 schools (2-3 assignments per day). The district office functions as your home base, and flexible schedules will be created with your commute and preferences in mind.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Professional Florida TVI licensure required
  • OMS Certification required
  • Testing and assessment background for student screenings
  • School-based TVI experience strongly preferred, but not mandatory
  • Ability to serve both direct and indirect (consultative) service needs
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple campuses
  • Willingness to complete district’s 2-part onboarding and credentialing process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen and assess students for vision-related educational needs
  • Deliver individualized instructional and consultative services to K-12 students
  • Collaborate with educators and district staff to implement best practices for visually impaired students
  • Adjust service delivery and scheduling based on student needs and school locations
  • Maintain and submit timely student documentation and timesheets
