Healthcare Front Desk Receptionist

What You'll Do

As a Healthcare Front Desk Receptionist, you'll help ensure a seamless patient experience while supporting providers and clinical staff with a variety of administrative responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Verify insurance coverage, referral information, and patient demographics
  • Complete and maintain accurate patient registration records
  • Schedule, coordinate, confirm, and reschedule appointments
  • Manage high-volume incoming calls through a multi-line phone system
  • Answer patient inquiries and route calls appropriately
  • Relay messages to providers and healthcare staff
  • Assist with urgent medication refill requests and medical records requests
  • Post payments, collect co-pays, and maintain balanced daily batches
  • Manage scheduling for multiple physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Utilize EMR systems to review patient information and coordinate care
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare front office, medical reception, or healthcare administrative experience
  • Dental office experience may also be considered
  • Experience using an EMR/EHR system
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a multi-line phone system
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment
  • Desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term healthcare career
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Epic EMR
  • Previous experience with insurance verification, patient scheduling, or patient registration
  • Medical specialty clinic experience

Work Environment

Schedule
  • Full-time, onsite position
  • 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Candidates must be available to work any assigned shift within operating hours

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
