Mechanical Assembler

About the Role:

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will perform a variety of assembly tasks across general, electronic, and mechanical functions, supporting ongoing production efforts. Your meticulous attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will enable you to work with drawings, schematics, and instructions to assemble, modify, and rework components with accuracy and efficiency. This role underscores the importance of safety protocols, including ESD prevention and explosive area handling, ensuring a safe workspace for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct production assembly of components and subassemblies, following detailed instructions and visual aids.

· Perform electronic assembly tasks such as PCB loading, soldering to IPC standards, and anomaly repairs under microscopes.

· Handle inert and energetic materials with precision, operating analytical balances and powder-press equipment safely.

· Set up and assemble subcomponents, perform cabling and basic soldering, and ensure all tasks adhere to safety and quality standards.

· Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance assembly processes and product quality.

· Maintain required certifications through ongoing training and strictly follow safety protocols.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· 1-2 years of relevant experience in electronic, mechanical, or general assembly.

· Strong mechanical skills, dexterity, and fine motor coordination.

· Ability to read and interpret instructions, drawings, and schematics effectively.

· Proficiency in IPC J-STD and IPC-A-610 standards for electronic assembly.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in environments involving explosive materials.

· Comfortable working in fast-paced settings with strict safety regulations.

Work Schedules:

· Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM

· OR Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
