Litigation Paralegal - Medical Malpractice

Position Overview

A busy litigation firm focused exclusively on medical malpractice is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing litigation files, coordinating discovery, and preparing cases for trial in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys throughout all phases of medical malpractice litigation.

• Draft, prepare, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests and responses.

• Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and litigation documents.

• Review, organize, and summarize medical records and other case-related documents.

• Coordinate document production and discovery.

• Communicate with clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

• Manage case calendars, court deadlines, depositions, mediations, and trial schedules.

• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness files, and other trial materials.

• Conduct legal and factual research as needed.

• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and provide support during trial.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.

• Experience in medical malpractice or personal injury litigation is strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court filing requirements.

• Ability to review and organize large volumes of medical records.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

• Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting strict deadlines.
