Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role:
As a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist, you will respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status, payment details, shortage claims, and other miscellaneous payment deductions in a timely and professional manner. You will be responsible for identifying and resolve issues that result in late payments to ensure future payments are made timely, and maintain strong vendor relations for assigned vendors by ensuring their accounts are current.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve vendor chargeback disputes, process credits when applicable, and maintain dispute tracking records.
Support the Anticipation Program by educating vendors on early payment options, calculating discounts, obtaining approvals, and processing payment updates.
Prepare and process express check and wire payment requests as needed.
Research vendor accounts, monitor document requirements, and collaborate with APM specialists to resolve payment issues.
Manage daily workload by prioritizing emails, tasks, and projects in alignment with business priorities.
Prepare supplier account summaries and reports for management as requested.
Maintain accurate daily production logs.
Partner with suppliers and management to promptly address and escalate payment-related issues.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
2-4 years’ work experience, preferably in Finance or Accounting
Experience in working in a high-volume processing environment
Great communication skills and customer service experience
Knowledge of AP applications on a major computerized system
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites with an intermediate knowledge of excel
Additional Details:
Work hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Hybrid work model – Wednesdays in-person
Parking: On-campus parking available.
Environment: Business casual dress code.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
