About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) to join our modern, privately owned AAHA-accredited Fear Free practice in Swansea, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with advanced technology, flexible scheduling, and a strong commitment to work-life balance.

Veterinarians with 2+ years of private practice experience are preferred; however, exceptional, growth-oriented new graduates are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Perform wellness exams and preventive care

  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions

  • Build lasting client relationships through 30-minute appointment blocks

  • See approximately 16 patients per day

  • Perform surgery and dentistry if desired, with dedicated surgical block time

  • Opportunity to work with exotic animals (experience not required)

Schedule

  • Up to 36 clinical hours per week

  • Four weekday schedule with one weekday off

  • Rotating Saturday mornings (approximately two per month)

  • Closed Sundays

  • No after-hours or emergency on-call responsibilities

  • Protected midday break from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited program

  • Active Illinois veterinary license or eligibility for immediate transfer

  • DEA registration and Illinois controlled substance license (or ability to obtain)
